EXPERIMENT 2 - THE EDGE: Quotes by the 3 Clients

These are quotes by each of the three clients: Jane Goodall, Florence Nightingale and Stephen Hawking, describing their ideas.

Jane Goodall:
"Each one of us must take responsibility for our own lives, and above all, show respect and love for living things around us, especially each other. Together we must reestablish our connections with the natural world and with the Spitiual Power that is around us."

(Jane Goodall: Reason for Hope, 2000, documentary, Australian Broadcasting Corporation, Sydney)

Florence Nightingale:
"Apprehension, uncertainty, waiting, expectation, fear of surprise, do a patient more harm than any exertion."

Stephen Hawking:
"If we do discover a complete theory, it should in time be understandable in broad principle by everyone, not just a few scientists. Then we shall all, philosophers, scientists, and just ordinary people, be able to take part in the discussion of the question of why it is that we and the universe exist."

(Hawking, S 1988, A brief history of time: from the Big Bang to Black Holes, Bantam Press, London)
